Newcastle Brown Ale has been rolling out some great new campaign spots which take direct aim at their largest American competitors including AB InBev brands Budweiser & Stella Artois as well as Coors and Miller.
New York City ad agency Droga5 has done a fantastic job in its direct approach, stripping away the gimmicks about cold cans and swirly necked bottles that are more "drinkable", and instead have used every possible opportunity to simply restate their brand postion as being without pretention or distraction. Put another way, they're just a fine brown ale that's done the trick since 1927.
