In my attempts to find vintage ads that used the American flag I came across this tin sign from Campbell's Soup circa 1900 - 1910, one of which apparently sold for $18,400 in 2010. Most interesting about this ad is that many of the originals were supposedly destroyed shortly after the time of fabrication due to the negative public reaction to what was perceived at the time to be a desecration of the American flag.
