Both Vine and Instagram are leading the way in social video sharing.  Video is the fastest growing advertising medium worldwide as advertisers look to grow their social footprint and extend their mobile reach.  The major difference between the two? Vine allows up to six second videos to be recorded and shared while Instagram videos can be 15 seconds.

Videos posted will appear on your Vine profile as well as those of your followers.  Posts can be shared to Facebook and Twitter. Vine can be downloaded for iOS in the Apple App Store and in the Google Play Store for Android and only requires a few steps to record, edit, and upload video.

Once downloaded, to use, open the app and tap the camera icon.  Once in video mode, whenever the screen is tapped, vine will record.  Tap and hold screen for continuous recording. As you use the allotted time, the green bar will increase until all time allowed has been used.  When finished, “Next” button will appear. The final step gives you the ability to insert a description, add location, and share to other social networks.
