Avenues to Independence Continues Its Mission With Updated Website

AdEasel recently updated and launched a brand new website for Avenues to Independence, a non-profit organization that provides homes, jobs, social activities and learning opportunities to adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to help them become part of the community in every way.

As a staple in the Chicago community that has helped those who need it most for over 65 years, AdEasel wanted to bring Avenues’ web presence up to speed so that their important mission can continue to thrive and be driven forward. As Avenues already had a good amount of quality content, AdEasel focused on giving the website a dynamic & responsive look and feel, as well as a fresh new makeover all optimized for search.

Key website features and highlights include simplified scroll-based pages, a dynamic website navigation system, easily swappable site banners, integrated donation systems, an updated news & press section, programs for independence, volunteer and advocacy forms and opportunities, engaging contact forms, email newsletter and subscription, thrift shoppe, success stories, site galleries, videos, and more.

Avenues was founded in 1953 when a group of parents believed things should be different for their sons and daughters with developmental disabilities. They wanted them to be a part of the community, close to home, among family and friends. Remaining in the community wasn’t always easy, but it was what everyone wanted. Today, thanks to their vision, Avenues is a non-profit organization that provides homes, jobs and community living programs to Chicago area adults with physical, intellectual, and other developmental disabilities.
